Lager Heads Expands

After brewing at their Abbeyville location for the last five years, the brothers Jon and Matt Kiene have outgrown the space. Lager Heads beers are now available in package and draft in the majority of the state and the demand for the beer has just been amazing. Simply put, if the Kiene brothers wanted to keep up with demand, they needed more room. Room to brew, bottle, and spread their wings. And what better place than in downtown Medina?

So Lager Heads Brewery has moved to a new facility. Located at 325 W.Smith Road, the brewery is three times larger than the previous space allowing the Kiene brothers to focus on brewing more of their award winning flagship brands: Barnburner Lager, Bed Head Red Ale, and High Five IPA. It will also enable them to be able to bring some of the seasonal brands that were only available in draft at the brewery to the general public. Beloved beers like Kilt’em All, White Water Witte, and Smokie Robbins Smoked Black Lager.

The brewery will have a tasting room, scheduled to open in early spring, for beer lovers to come in and enjoy some beer among the smells, sights, and chaos of the actual brewing process. In addition to a new building, additional brewing and sales staff have been added to help meet increased demand.

Overall, it’s a very cool and exciting time for Lager Heads.
