Summer Seasonals – Part II

There are all kinds of great beers to help you beat the heat this summer. Wheat beer, Kolsch, Gose, Pale Ale, IPA, Radler and even a Cider in the mix.  There is a style for everyone to enjoy!  Light bodied and formulated for warm weather, these great tasting selections will quench your thirst and offer up plenty of great flavors and tastes. Here’s Part II of our Summer Seasonals list!



This American wheat beer is brewed with real watermelon, for a flavor that’s surprisingly crisp, dry and refreshing—summer in a can. 21st Amendment starts by brewing a classic American wheat beer, which undergoes a traditional secondary fermentation using fresh watermelon. A straw-colored, refreshing beer with a kiss of watermelon aroma and flavor.




Based on the traditional Kölsch style of brewed in Cologne, Germany, Alaskan Summer Ale balances a softly malted palate with the clean freshness of hops. In the tradition of the style, neither overpowers the other. Both hops and malt come together to refresh and renew the palate. The straw-gold color and easy drinkability are an enjoyable way to celebrate summer.




Crisp and cool as a San Francisco summer. First brewed in the summer of 1984, Anchor Brewing Co. Summer Wheat is the first American wheat beer in modern times. Anchor Summer Wheat is intended to be a lighter beer for those who don’t want to sacrifice historic tradition or character. Released each year in advance of the summer season, Anchor Summer Wheat is an all-malt craft beer, with over 50% of its malt derived from malted wheat. It is fermented with a traditional top-fermenting “ale” yeast, yielding a clean, balanced flavor that highlights the refreshingly light flavor of malted wheat.




Summer Solstice from Anderson Valley is a slightly sweet, malty session beer with a creamy mouth feel and clean finish.  With hints of caramel in the nose and a touch of spice, it’s become affectionately known as “cream soda for adults”.
