Welcome to Ohio, Uinta!

We’re going to start 2013 with a bang! Rampant Brands is proud to announce that in February we’ll be bringing the beers of Uinta Brewing to craft enthusiasts in the Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati regions!

Uinta has a diverse portfolio that’s split into three distinct lines: Classic, Organic, and Crooked. Each line has a collection of unique, award-winning beers that run the style gamut.

The Classic Line, as the name suggests, are the beers that started it all. A wide variety of tasty beers from all the favorite beer styles, the Classic Line is sure to have a beer that every craft beer fan will love. In addition to year-round staples, this line also includes three seasonal brews, so keep your eyes peeled for new additions throughout the year.

Classic Line Brews Coming in February: Anniversary Barley Wine, Dubhe Imperial Black IPA, Hop Notch IPA

As you might expect from a brewery whose slogan is “Earth, Wind and Beer,” Uinta has an exceptional line of organic beers. The Organic Line has been officially certified by the USDA as organic, meaning that it has been “produced through approved methods that integrate cultural, biological, and mechanical practices that foster cycling of resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity.” But Uinta didn’t just make beers that meet USDA standards. No sir, they made beers that meet USDA standards and taste great! Within the Organic Line are multiple medalists at international beer competitions such as the North American Beer Awards and the World Beer Championships.

Organic Line Brews Coming in February: Baba Black Lager, Wyld Extra Pale Ale

The result of a 20-year quest to satisfy an obsession with beer, the Crocked Line is a collection of big beers that side-step traditional brewing techniques and ingredients to create truly unique and delicious beers. And when we say “big,” we mean it in every sense of the word. Not only do these beers have big taste and a high ABV (between 9-13%; please sip responsibly), but they also come in 750mL bottles (the size of the average wine bottle) making them optimal for sharing at social gatherings. Trust us, when you show up at a party with one of these bad boys under your arm, you’ll quickly become the most popular person in the room.

Crooked Line Brews Coming in February: Cockeyed Cooper Bourbon Barrel Barley Wine Ale, Detour Double IPA, Tilted Smile Imperial Pilsner

Uinta started brewing out of a renovated mechanic’s garage in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1993. Named after the Uinta mountain range in northeast Utah, Uinta takes great pride in their local roots and have an affinity for naming their beers after local landscapes, animals, and customs. The Dubhe Imperial Black IPA, for example, is named after Utah’s Centennial Star which formers the uppermost tip of the Big Dipper (star gazers may know it as Alpha Ursae Majoris).

Their slogan, “Earth, Wind and Beer” is more than just a marketing tool, it’s their philosophy. One of the industry leaders in renewable energy, Uinta became the first Utah company to be run entirely on wind energy in 2001 and added solar panels to the roof of their brewery in 2011.
